The Incoterms® 2010 rules are internationally recognized.They are used worldwide for international and also domestic contracts for the sale of goods. It was first published in 1936 and since then provide internationally accepted rules of interpretation for commercial terms.
These rules have become the standard in international business rules setting. Incoterms® 2010 was launched in september 2010 and started to be used from january 2011. They help avoid misunderstandings by clarifying the tasks, costs and risks involved in the delivery of goods from suppliers to buyers. Incoterms® rules are recognized by UNCITRAL as the global standard for the interpretation of the most common terms in foreign trade.
